How To Take A Screenshot On HP Laptop
By simply following these three methods that I am gonna let you know, you can easily take screenshots on hp laptop. Whether you wanna take a screen of a web page, software, game screen, or any screen. Whatever you want to capture, you can capture easily. Most of the people might have known this but this is for the people who don’t know how to take screenshots. There are 3 steps that I have already mentioned above, now I am gonna teach you briefly one by one all ways. Be with us till the end of the article, don’t skip any step or method.
No 01: Print Scrn / SysRq Key
First of all, open that page or screen that you want to capture or take a screenshot of. Then, press ‘Prt Sc / SysRq’ it would be placed on your keyboard upper right corner.
After pressing that button, now you need to open your paint tool. In the bottom left corner, there is a search box, go there and search ‘Paint’ then open it.
Once it’s opened, then you will see the upper left corner there would be a ‘Paste’ just option click on that and your screen will come to the front that you just captured.
Now, you can edit your screenshot as you want. After editing, click on the upper left corner ‘File’ option. Then, you would see there ‘Save As’ option, click on that, and then select image format. You can select any format, it doesn’t make any difference on your screenshot. I prefer to use ‘JPEG’ format because it saves your pictures in low size.
After selecting format, select the path where you want to save and it and you can also give this screenshot any name in the ‘File Name’ field. Then, click on save and your screenshot is saved now. If you want to see your screenshot, just go to the path where you have just saved your screenshot.
No 02: Windows Key + Print Scrn / SysRq Key
In this method, you don’t have to open a paint tool or any else. You can save your screen just in one second. So, open your screen or web page which you want to take screenshot. Just keep that screen open, then just hold the ‘Windows’ key that is available bottom left corner after the ‘Ctrl’ key. While holding the windows key just press the ‘Prt Sc / SysRq’ key.
That’s it, your screenshot is saved now. If you want to see your screenshot, just open your ‘Computer or My Computer’ icon. Then, on the left side, you would see the ‘Pictures’ Folder.
Just click on that then you are to go to the ‘Screenshots’ folder and your all screenshot would be there.
No 03: Snipping Tool
There is one more way left to take a screen on HP laptop. For this, you have to click on the bottom left search box and search there ‘Snipping Tool’ and open that.
Once it’s open, You will see a snipping toolbox on your screen.
The snipping tool gives you the feature that you can capture any amount of area of your screen that you want. Either you can select the whole screen or you can select any small area. You need to firstly select mode. In order to select mode, you firstly need to click on the ‘Mode’ option that you will see there.
You will see 4 modes there. These are the modes and their use:
- Free-Form Snip
- Rectangular Snip
- Window Snip
- Full-Screen Snip
Use of Free-Form Snip:
In free-form snip, you will get a scissor icon on your arrow and it will work as a pen tool. You have to draw while holding the left click, you need to draw on that screen which you wanna capture. As you leave the right-click, you will get that screen that you have drawn as a screenshot. You can draw as you want or as much area you want to capture. It can be used to capture such as logos because most of them are in a circle shape. You can take your screenshot in any shape or in any style. Just keep holding right click and keep drawing.
Use of Rectangular Snip:
In rectangular snip, you can take any amount of area of your screen in rectangular shape only. In free-form tool, you could take screenshots in any shape you want but using this tool you can only take in a rectangular shape. Also, just keep holding your right-click after selecting this mode. Then, just select that area, leave right click and your screen will be captured.
Use of Window Snip:
In window snip, if you have opened two windows at a time like half is chrome or half is your personal files window. Then, by using this mode you will get an option to click on your any of the windows and your windows screen will be captured. Otherwise, you can also take your one window screenshot by using this as well.
Use of Full-Screen Snip:
In this snip, as you can guess by its name ‘Full-Screen’. It is captured on your full screen, whether it has 2 windows or 3. It will capture your whole screen You just need to click on this mode and you will get your full screen, screenshot.
After choosing a mode and getting your screenshot, you can also edit this screen. For saving this screenshot, you just need to click on the ‘Save’ icon. It would be available on the upper tab.
Then, you will see the pop-up window and you can save it by any name and anywhere on your pc you want.
