How To Remove Acrylic Nails
No 01: Cut Nail Down
The first thing that you are gonna do to remove acrylic look nails takes a tip cutter or nail cutter and just gonna cut them all the way down to like where the natural nail is. The reason is why you want to do this is because I have actually seen people soak off the nails when they kind of without cutting them. It’s like you’re just soaking off a necessary product and you are wasting acetone. Just cut them down.
No 02: Remove The Bling
Now, you are gonna go and remove the bling. Just take a pair of nippers and you’re to go in and remove all of the bling. Whenever you’re removing the bling, it helps to take them off with the back of the kiddo or with the nippers. Use the back of the nippers because if you grip the rhinestones with the back of them. if that makes sense but just go ahead and remove all of the bling.
No 03: Acrylic Fill In
Once you are finished removing all of the bling, so next you’re gonna go with your extra coarse straw bed. You’re gonna fill in the acrylic as much as you can like fill in it down as much as you can. That way speeds up the soaking process and also if you have gel polish and of course you want to go in and just remove that joke polish. But you always want to thin down the acrylic as much as you can that way you’re not soaking for so long. So, you are gonna be using the extra coarse drill bit as it’s a safe one. You are gonna use it at 10,000 RPMs and you literally just want to go in and just fill in the acrylic. Just go in kind of any other time fill in the entire nail.
When you’re filling acrylic on someone else it’s pretty fast maybe 5 minutes but you know when you’re soaking, you’ll probably be soaking for about 15 minutes, instead of 30. So, it cuts down the time a lot anyways.
No 04: Soaking
You’ll need here soaking bowls and use pure acetone. Then, just fill them up. After you pour the acetone in there you just soak your nails solve until the acrylic is completely soaked off. Also, you could use the little clips with a little piece of cotton ball and acetone and let them soak. But it takes longer when you use these than to just soak them in pure acetone but whatever works for you best. I know the only downside about this is that you actually have to be sitting down you know why you’re soaking and what clips you could actually move around. You still also can do much or you could even use aluminum foil instead of the clips. You just get the Carnivale to soak it in acetone and then wrap it with aluminum foil and that gives you more mobility as well. You are still not able to do as much because you have those at your fingertips. It may take longer, so just continue to let it soak and everything will be completely gone.
So, what you can do then is just get a paper towel and just wipe off anything. As you know that’s still on the nail, sometimes, you will still have some acrylic on there. Hopefully, they are completely soaked off now.
No 05: Shape Your Nails & Push Back Cuticles
Once you’re finished then go in with a hand file and just shape them up. So, after you finished shaping your nails up. Just gently push back your cuticles. I do cut myself with the drill and that’s why I say that it’s so important to get some stability. Of course, when I remove the acrylic with the drill on my right hand it’s hard for me to hold on to the finger with my left hand. Sometimes, I do cut myself especially on my right hand, you just have to be really careful.
Gently Buff Nails:
After that, you’re gonna go in with a buffer and gently buff the surface of the nail. Next, go ahead and just wash your hands.
No 06: Base Coat And Top Coat
So, after you have washed your hands, just go in and do a base coat and a top coat and leave them and cure the base coat for 30 seconds and then the topcoat for 60 seconds. So, you knit the first coat of the base coat, now place them under the light for 30 seconds. Now, that you have carried the base coat, do the topcoat and then cure for 60 seconds. After doing the base coat and top coat, apply some cuticle oil on your fingers and then rub it in and that’s gonna be it.
Again, just cut down the acrylic nails after that fill in down the acrylic as much as you could and then soak them, and then a bowl of acetone for about 15 to 20 minutes. After that, you just shape up your nails, remove the shine, do a topcoat or you can do a new set.
