How To Distill Water
Q1: Why Do You Want Distilled Water?
Distilled water has a lot of health benefits because it does remove toxins from the water. As well as it does remove bacteria, it takes all of the mineral content out of the water by the way as well. Distilled water is too good for your vehicle like when you’re making car batteries or replenishing car batteries. It has benefits with cleaning your coffeemaker but because of what’s happening in the world today with the coronavirus. Distilled water, I have been doing a lot of research on this and you need to do the research yourself. If you go to a lot of the online sources that you know what they’re saying is that there are actual health benefits to drinking distilled water.
But it also comes with a warning is that if you drink too much of it, it also does not have the mineral content and the electrolytes that your body needs to maintain stable health. So, if you’re gonna drink distilled water, I want to warn you upfront, two different things. One it’s gonna be pure, this is the simple fact is that it’s pure means that you’re not going to have the mineral content that your body actually needs from drinking regular drinking water. The other thing is that you can supplement your diet with the minerals that are lost like potassium and I think magnesium that is not in distilled water. You can get that supplemented back into your diet or just simply by drinking regular tap water.
Now, why you want to do this is distilled water is a really great antibacterial and antiviral supplement to your diet. As you don’t want to replace what you’re drinking altogether with only distilled water. But what I have read so far and like I said you need to do your own research too, It has health benefits. If you’re sick and there’s a huge list of other things, so it’s really easy to do. You can do this from your own kitchen and I’m going to let you know how to do it.
Q2: How To Make Distilled Water?
For this, you need a pot and you want to get it on one of your rapid flames. Set on the power burn around your range and get the bottom of the water boiling or getting ready to boil. Now, fill up the pot with enough water to get that to float. What’s going to happen is as the water boils, it’s going to turn to steam and that steam somehow needs to be collected and it needs to be returned inside the bowl over there. What comes off that steam and returns into this bowl over there is distilled water.
So, take an oversized glass lid and put that over the top. The purpose of this oversized glass lid is that the steam is going to collect on the underside of the glass lid. What will happen is this going to collect and it’s going to hit the handle there. As it hits the handle, the droplets are going to come off the top of the front of the handle and it’s going to go down into the pot.
Then, the next step after is all set and done is you’re going to just go and get yourself a household measuring cup. Once you’re done, you’re just going to scoop it out of that. You know a fit-out of that container and then pour into a closed container. You can also put it into a thermal flask or something like that to be able to preserve it.
Tip: Speed Up Condensation
If you want to speed up the condensation and this is something I have learned on my own because I’ve done this many times. If you want to speed up the condensation then the one last step is ice. So, grab some ice cubes out of your ice maker and take that ice and load up your lid. By doing that what that does is that creates some sort of a thing. I don’t know what it does because I’m not a scientist.
